UPASS

Effective September 1st, 2007 all Full Time Undergradute UW students on campus will have unlimited use of GRT bus services.

Q. Who is able to use the bus pass?
A. All full time UW undergraduate students.

Q. How do students pay for the bus pass?
A. Students pay for the bus pass as part of their Feds Administered Fees on their tuition statement. The cost is $49.75 per term.

Q. Are there any restrictions on the bus pass?
A. No, it entitles those who’ve paid to unlimited usage on GRT buses in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.

Q. How do students use the bus pass?
A. Students flash their WatCard to the bus driver to board the bus.

Q. Is the bus pass refundable?
A. No. The UPASS is a non-refundable fee paid by all students.

Q. What happens if I lose my bus pass?
A. If you lose your WatCard, visiting the WatCard office in the lower level of the SLC to receive a new WatCard will allow you to use the bus.

Q. Can students use the bus pass on their next co-op term?
A. Currently, yes.

Please Note:

Both versions of the WatCard are valid identification if students have paid their bus pass fee. There is no need to trade in your old WatCard for a newer version in order to ride the bus.
